This saw has so many great features to give splinter free precision cutting. Use with the Festool guide rail system, excellent for processing sheet materials as well as short cuts or use without the rail when working with a template or fixture. The saw uses a spring-loaded pivoting plunge action that combines with a super-fast blade brake to give fast, accurate and, above all, safe cutting performance. The features of this saw are seemingly endless. The 1,200W soft start motor has full electronic control to keep speed constant and monitor the motor allowing the optimum cutting speed for the material being cut, regardless of load, the ability to cut a standard 12mm against a wall thanks to its flush housing, there is a fine adjuster for the plunge, the blade has an undercut of -1 degrees to 47 degrees to give great accuracy. Dust extraction has been improved and an adjustable viewing window ensures you can see the saw blade during use. The clear window on the side allows you to see the blade, and markers indicate front and rear cutting points of blade at full depth, useful when cutting out apertures with the guide rail. The cut line stays constant in relation to the base, regardless of blade angle. Other features include: rotating dust outlet for the most convenient position and FastFix blade changing system. The guide rail has splinter guard, a cushion strip to grip on the underside and a slideway top surface lining.
